Welcome to the exciting world of NHL STREET™, a groundbreaking youth street hockey league launched in partnership with the National Hockey League and RCX Sports! This North America-wide initiative is designed to introduce kids to hockey in a fun, fast-paced, and accessible way—no ice required! Learn more about the official league launch on the NHL website.

Join the CVPRD NHL Street League!

The Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District (CVPRD) is proud to bring NHL STREET™ to our community! This 10-week season is packed with practices, games, and plenty of hockey fun for kids in grades 2–7. Whether your child is new to the sport or a seasoned player, this league offers something for everyone.

League Details: 

District Registration Open: Monday, February 3 
Non-District Registration Open: Monday, March 3
Registration Deadline: Monday, April 14

• Price: $105 for District residents | $158 for Non-District residents
• Grade Divisions:
  • 2nd/3rd Grade and 6th/7th Grade
    • Practices: Mondays, May 12–July 14
    • Games: Wednesdays, May 21–July 16 (No games on July 2)
  • 4th/5th Grade
    • Practices: Tuesdays, May 13–July 15
    • Games: Thursdays, May 22–July 17 (No games on July 3)

CVPRD Night at the Colorado Avalanche

Date: February 26, 2025

Experience the thrill of NHL hockey at CVPRD Night! Attendees will enjoy an exclusive Warmup Watchers experience, where fans can enter the arena 30 minutes before doors open to watch the Avalanche warm up on the ice. Get an up-close view next to the home bench and net as the team prepares for game time. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect with professional hockey and celebrate our new league!
