Active Adult Day Trips
Carbon Valley Active Adults (age 55 and older) are always on the go! Join us for trips to exciting destinations around Colorado and beyond. Register in advance for your next adventure. Each trip description includes an exertion level number. This is a generalization of the exertion levels that participants can expect on a trip.

Upcoming Trips & Events
Get outdoors with other Active Adults and join our outdoor walking group. Volunteer Glenn leads and the group walks around the area departing from the Community Center. Great for beginners or experienced daily walkers. No one walks alone! Grab a cup of coffee after the walk with the group. (In case of inclement weather, meet at the Rec Center indoor track.) No walking group December 25, 2025 or January 1, 2026.

A visit to the Denver Christkindl Market feels like stepping into a festive European village. Stroll past wooden stalls filled with handcrafted gifts, and German treats. With twinkling lights and holiday cheer all around, it’s the perfect place to soak up the magic of the season. Registration includes transportation only. Registration in advance required.

Join us for a fun and festive trip to Flatiron Crossing Mall, where you’ll find all your favorite stores, great deals, and plenty of seasonal cheer. From big-name brands to unique specialty shops, it’s the perfect place to find something for everyone. Take in the decorations, enjoy a treat from the food court, and make a day of effortless holiday shopping. Registration includes transportation only. Registration in advance required.

Hop on the lunch bunch bus to Cheddars Scratch Kitchen in Thornton. Cheddars serves scratch made food with a Texas twist. From chicken tenders to ribs they have all of the American favorites that will make your mouth water. Registration includes transportation. Dining cost not included in registration. Registration in advance required.

Feeling lucky? Try your luck at Bally’s Casino in Blackhawk. The bus departs from, and returns to the Community Center. Fee includes transportation only. Dining and gambling not included. $10 players card credit given by Bally’s for all advance registrants. See Community Center Representative for further details of credit earnings. Players Club card required for credits and can be obtained at the Casino. Registration in advance required by December 23, 2025. Cancellations made after this date are non-refundable.

Don’t miss the drama, passion, and spectacle of one of theatre’s most beloved productions! All interested parties will be placed on a list for a lottery drawing. Drawing for the right to buy will be held on January 21, 2026. All remaining entries not selected will stay on the waiting list for if a ticket becomes available. Tickets are non-refundable after February 18, 2026.
