A variety of classes are offered at the Carbon Valley Active Adults & Community Center for adults age 55 and older.

Weekly Drop - In Programs at the Active Adults & Community Center

Morning Joe Coffee 

Stop by the Active Adults & Community Center for a warm cup of coffee and conversation. A great way to start your day!

Craft and Social Time 

Bring your favorite craft to work on while socializing, laughing, and having fun.

Join us for Hand and Foot card game, with friendly competition while making new friends.

Diamond Dots 

Bring your own diamond dot art project or learn how to do diamond dots from the group. It's addicting and sure to keep you coming back each week. Materials not included.

Enjoy coffee, conversation, and camaraderie with other veterans.

Book Club 

Join us for a lively discussion about the book of the month. Books selected are from a variety of genres, both fiction and non-fiction. The program is in partnership with the High Plains Library, Carbon Valley Branch.

White Elephant Bingo 

Bring a new or gently used ornament as a prize and get ready to have some fun playing bingo and winning a variety of ornaments. Ornaments can be wrapped or unwrapped. Ocotber is costume Bingo!

Class: Introduction to the Conversation Project 

The conversation project aims to help people share their wishes for care through the end-of-life. Participants will gain insights into conversations about healthcare preferences and ensuring your wishes for care through the end of life are understood and respected. We will explore topics such as identifying a healthcare agent, advanced care planning, building a support network, and accessing community resources. Designed for individuals navigating the journey of aging alone ("Solo Agers") or in partnership with others.
