Group Fitness

Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District's fitness program strives to positively impact our community and surrounding areas by providing the highest quality experience through safe, effective and fun fitness programming. Our group fitness classes will challenge you and help you achieve your goals. Highly trained, certified and qualified instructors teach low impact to high impact classes and everything in between.

Fitness classes are held at the Carbon Valley Recreation Center unless stated otherwise. Drop-in group fitness classes are included with daily admission fees or rec center membership passes.

The Thursday evening Les Mills BodyStep class will now run from 5:30 - 6:15 pm with Les Mills CORE following 6:20 - 6:50 pm.

Designed for youth ages 6-12 and offers a safe and fun atmosphere to help improve focus, concentration and overall wellbeing

NEW! Summer Fitness Series! 

Zumba, Yoga and Bodypump

The Zumba series will teach fun Zumba steps such as Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia and Reggaeton as your instructor breaks down each basic step and how to execute different variations. Elevate your Zumba experience every time you step into class!

June 17 and 24 | 10:30 - 11:30 am

Instructor: Theresa Collins

The Yoga series will help students understand and improve their physical alignment in yoga poses, with a focus on safety and how to avoid injury. Learn yoga principles that covers anatomy, alignment and the proper use of props.

July 8, 15, 22, 29 | 10:30 - 11:30 am

Instructor: Theresa Collins

Les Mills Bodypump series. Learn how to execute powerful movements and lifts to gain more strength in our Bodypump Technique, Strength and Development series.

August 5 and 12 | 10:30 - 11:30 am

Instructor: Suzi Shankweiler

Whether you are new to these formats or an expert, all will benefit from each series and help you develop strong, fun, safe and effective workouts!
